Reverse Osmosis Window Cleaning Systems

Reverse Osmosis Window Cleaning Systems

Reverse Osmosis Window Cleaning Systems

Let’s talk technical for a moment. Window cleaning isn’t all about buckets of soapy water and squeegees. No, we’ll have you know that there’s far more to it than that. In this guide, we’re going to break down some of the scientific specifications behind our advanced window cleaning equipment, so you can understand why our systems, service and expertise set us apart from the rest.

Here at Clear Vision, we’re the perfect choice for all your cleaning needs. Whether it’s for a home or business, internal or external cleaning, weekly or monthly – we’re here for you. And our innovative reverse osmosis (RO) water purification system is right by our sides to get the job done right.

If you want to find out about our pricing packages, the wide range of services we offer, or to talk technical with our team, we welcome you to give us a call or fill out our online contact form. If you’re looking for a little more information about how our window cleaning systems work and why it’s so important, continue reading below.

What is the reverse osmosis system?

Reverse osmosis is a way of purifying water to remove larger, unwanted particles from the solution, such as molecules and ions. This is vital not only for window cleaning, but perhaps more importantly (and we don’t even say that something is more important than window cleaning) to ensure safe drinking water that’s free from any nasty bacteria.

To do this, reverse osmosis technology uses a semipermeable membrane to apply pressure and overcome the osmotic pressure driven by chemical potential to strip away the unwanted elements. In this process, the solute remains on the pressurised side of the membrane and the pure solvent is able to pass through to the other side. This allows the reverse osmosis system to stop larger molecules and ions from passing through its pores, while smaller parts of the solution like the solvent can move through freely.

If that’s a little too technical for you (and believe us, we won’t judge) then think of reverse osmosis like a nightclub bouncer. It stops any unsavoury characters from barging their way in, while letting all the young, beautiful people inside for an evening that may not quite be as pure as the water at the end of the process. (Again, we won’t judge you on whether your own experience more often finds you inside the nightclub or left out in the cold.)

Metaphors aside then, reverse osmosis is a diffusive mechanism to separate elements of a solution to get rid of the bad stuff and leave only the good stuff. It’s vital in making safe, purified water by removing bacteria – or salt from seawater, for example – and it ensures that the hot, purified water that we use for our window cleaning systems is of the highest, cleanest quality.

what is reverse osmosis

Reverse osmosis in window cleaning

This all sounds well and good and very interesting, we’re sure you’re all saying, but no doubt you’re wondering how this really applies to window cleaning. Well, we’re just getting to that. An increasingly popular piece of window cleaning equipment is the water-fed pole, which involves feeding water through an extendable pole to easily clean those high and hard-to-reach places.

In doing this, we want to make sure that we’re using the purest water for the best results. Unpurified water can make it harder to shift dirt and grime, and it can mean that you actually end up needing your windows cleaned again sooner and more regularly than you otherwise might. Purified water, on the other hand, particularly when hot, grabs hold of any unwanted build-up on your windows and makes it quick and easy to rinse away.

To get purified water through the water-fed pole, reverse osmosis is used. Before any water gets to your windows, it passes through the system and has any unwanted elements, molecules, ions and bacteria stripped away. So the only water going on to your windows is pure, and your windows will look sparkling clean as a result. Our vehicles have onboard systems and equipment to produce our own pure water at the unit, meaning you get the cleanest water – and therefore the cleanest windows.

Reverse osmosis is, we’ll admit, a little complicated. While you can shorten its name to RO, you can’t easily compress and distil its history from when it was first observed in 1748 right up to the present day. And it isn’t the easiest concept to get your head around. We’re sorry if we’ve given you flashbacks to secondary school science labs – nobody deserves to go through that again.

All you need to know is that we at Clear Vision have it all in hand. With many years of experience, we understand why purified water is so important to give your home or business’ windows a thorough clean and the sparkling finish that they deserve. You can rely on us to give you professional, friendly service with only the good stuff – there’s nothing bad to find in our team or what we do, as if we’ve gone through the reverse osmosis system ourselves.

Talk to us today about reverse osmosis or something else to do with window cleaning (please, anything else!) by giving us a call or filling in our online contact form. We’ll have your windows crystal clear and sparkling clean with our purified water systems. We look forward to working with you soon!
