When Clear Vision started in 2005, we cleaned windows the old-fashioned way: with a bucket of soapy water, squeegees, and elbow grease. People have washed windows like that since the invention of glass, and it’s worked so far. Why try anything different?
Well, once you’ve dangled precariously off a ladder or two while trying to reach a sixth-floor window and wipe spiderwebs off it, you reassess your options. Window cleaning isn’t entirely risk-free, so we were keen to make it safer. That’s why we invested in our Reach & Wash system.

Clear Vision’s Reach & Wash system changed the way we do business. It allows our workers to remain safely on the ground, even when cleaning windows six storeys up and still deliver incredible results.
Reach & Wash is based on a technology that was developed during the nineties. It consists of an extendable carbon fibre pole that can reach up to 30 feet and has a brush attached to the end. Purified water is pumped through the pole from ground level, allowing us to spray windows that we normally wouldn’t be able to reach without setting up a ladder first.
Once the glass has been rinsed, we can easily sweep any dirt or grime away thanks to the brush. It doesn’t only have to be used on windows either; it’s equally effective on sills or ledges.
Reach & Wash was an instant hit when we first started using it, especially with our staff who don’t like heights. But safety wasn’t the only benefit.
